BENDTNER: DANISH NATIONAL TEAM CAREER EXAMINED

NicklasBendtner started his career with the Danish national team in the u-16 team. The striker scored three goals in as many games for the u-16s in 2004. Bendtner scored six goals in 15 matches for the Danish u-17 side between 2004 and 2005.

Danish striker NicklasBendtner scored once in two games for the u-19 team in 2006. Bendtner went on to play for the u-21 side in the same year with two goals in four matches.

NicklasBendtner made his debut for the senior team in2006 and he went on to score 30 goals in 81 appearances over a 12-year period. His last game for Denmark was in 2018.

Bendtner played his first game for the senior team against Polandon August 16, 2006 at the age of 18 years and 212 days thus making him the seventh youngest debutant ever. He celebrated his debut for Denmark by finding the back of the net in the 2-0 victory over Poland.His second game was as a substitute against Portugal on September 1, 2006.
NicklasBendtner scored the final goal in the 4-2 victory over the Portuguese team. Danish striker Bendtner scored two goals in two games.

NicklasBendtnerbecame a regular for the senior team despite the fact that he's still eligible for the u-21 team. He scored twice during the qualifiers ahead of the Euro 2008 tournament.Bendtnerscored three goals during the qualifying campaign ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa. He was an important player for Denmark as they sealed a place at the tournament. Bendtner was named the best player for Denmark in 2010 partly due to his contribution to the senior team during the qualifiers. His goal against Portugal during the qualifiers also won the best goal in the same year.
