Arsenal are among a number of Premier League clubs currently watching Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the American midfielder could well move to England as soon as January. McKennie is the latest in a long line of midfielders linked with a move to The Emirates. Mikel Arteta’s side were scrambling to bring someone in as the summer transfer window shut. Douglas Luiz ended up staying at Aston Villa, and has recently signed a new contract.

Jacobs believes that although no interest is advanced yet, McKennie may have plenty of potential suitors. Several Premier League clubs have scouted McKennie, including Newcastle, Leeds, Everton and Arsenal. But none have advanced interest yet. He's a player who could well move to England in January but right now there is nothing advanced from any potential Premier League suitors.
McKennie also has another big fan in north London: Fabio Paratici. The Tottenham director of football was the man responsible for signing McKennie from Schalke for Juventus. Alasdair Gold also reported this summer that Tottenham wanted to sign McKennie over Rodrigo Bentancur. The 24-year-old has been a regular starter for Juventus this season, but has struggled to make a huge impact.
He’s scored just once this season, and only has one assist, although he’s also capable of playing in wider roles.
