Nicklas Bendtner

Ex-Arsenal striker NicklasBendtner has revealed that he intends to pursue a career in coaching after announcing his retirement at the start of this month. NicklasBendtner confirmed his exit from professional football at the age of 33 earlier this month.

NicklasBendtner spent the majority of his career at the Emirates Stadium with the Gunners. The Danish international spent around a decade with Arsenal though three of those years were spent on loan at other clubs. While he was a Gunners player, Bendtner was sent on loan to clubs like Sunderland in the third tier of English football, Italian Serie A club Juventus and Birmingham City in the English Championship.

The former Academy player spent some time at Tarnby FF as his final club before calling it quit with football. Apart from Arsenal and the three abovementioned teams, NicklasBendtner also played for VFL Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga, Nottingham Forest in the English Championship, Norwegian top flight team Rosenborg and Danish club FC Copenhagen since his exit from Arsenal.

While announcing his retirement from the round leather game, Bendtnersaid that football is a part of him and that he has already been planning for life after football. The controversial striker said he has concluded plans to take his coaching badges.

Bendtner is no doubt a controversial footballer and fans would be eager to see him as a coach in the dugout. He played over 150 games for the Gunners during his time at the club. Bendtner scored 47 goals and also provided 22 assists in 171 matches for Arsenal during his time at the club. In his last season as a professional footballer, Bendtner scored two goals and three assists in four games for Tarnby FF. He scored 30 goals in 81 matches on the international scene for Denmark.
