Controversial Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner has revealed the altercation he had with Frenchman Arsene Wenger while he was at Arsenal. Nicklas Bendtner talked about Wenger and the heated exchange he had with the then Gunners boss in a chat with popular media publication FourFourTwo. According to Bendtner, he called Wenger horrible names in the quest to secure a move away from Arsenal but he was not successful.
Bendtner spent the majority of his career at Arsenal. The Dane arrived at the North London club as a hot prospect but he never really turned out to be a world beater before leaving in 2014. Bendtner was an Arsenal player for nine years though he was sent out on loan three times.
Birmingham City signed Bendtner on loan from Arsenal for the 2006/07 season. He scored 11 goals in 42 games for Birmingham City in the league during his time at the midlands club. Bendtner was sent on his second loan spell as an Arsenal player during the 2011/12 season. He joined Sunderland on loan from the Gunners during the 2011/12 campaign. Bendtner scored eight goals in 28 league games for the Black Cats.
Arsenal sanctioned a third loan spell for Bendtner when he joined Italian Serie A giants Juventus on loan for the entire duration of the 2012/13 season. He didn't hit target in nine games for the Old Lady.
Bendtner left Arsenal to join German Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg on a permanent deal in 2014. He signed for Wolfsburg as a free agent.
