Zlatan Ibrahimovic might not have had a great career at Camp Nou, but, he has denied that he has any hard feelings for the Spanish club.
According to the Sweden international, he made a lot of friends during his time at Barcelona and he still gets along well with those guys.
There have been occasions in the past when Ibrahimovic has hinted that he did not like the way he was used at Barcelona, but, now, the striker seems to have moved on from it.
He was very kind while speaking about his former club the other night. In his words, “I have thousands of friends over here in this city and I share good bonding with the Barca players as well.”
Ibrahimovic was in Barcelona to represent his club Paris Saint-Germain in a European encounter. It was a dead rubber as the qualification of both the teams to the pre quarter final round was already certain.
The only thing that the result of the game had to determine was the position of the two teams in the table. Going into the game, PSG was leading the table. They were one point ahead of Barcelona. They just had to play the draw to be able to finish first in the group, but, they ended up losing by 1-3 and thus, it’s the Catalan giants who finished as the group leaders.
When asked about PSG’s performance as a team, Ibrahimovic said, “Well, the result says it all, doesn’t it? When you lose 3-1, it means the opponent has played far, far better.”
Ibrahimovic had scored the first goal for PSG in the 15th minute and had got them ahead by 1-0, but, then, the superstars of Barcelona pulled their socks up and it was the home team all the way after that.
